X-men 3

Hoping to see this movie soon.... Within the next couple of weeks anyways.

I have heard a little about the flick and, while the core storyline about a "cure for mutation" seems cool enough (and Ian McKellen's very presence assures some level of awesome), I hold out very little hope I'm actually going to enjoy the film. I'll try and post my 'unbiased' (wink!) thoughts on the movie either here or in my geek blog and we will see. I'm not SURE it will suck, but it just gives me the gut reaction of a movie I'd want to sink some money into just to make sure they made a sequel so it didn't end like THIS.

I have heard a few spoilers I won't share here that make me think this way. But I won't pass judgement yet.....I will simply wait with the ominous patience of the housewife with curlers in her hair waiting for her husband to get home from the bar at 2AM and I will see if the movie has a good excuse for what it has done.

I'm attempting to port my Geekretreat site into a portal site using PostNuke content management software. If this works out I'll have calendars, geeky news stuff, journals, forums, a place to game online (complete with character sheet storage and online die roller). Oh and a media database for all my pictures. Anyone can submit pictures up so if you're curious feel free to take a look around.

It may or may not develop into anything, but I'm learning a TON as I do it...which is really the important thing, right?
